Ryoji Matsuoka workshop produced many high quality but budget friendly guitars. The model numbering system of Matsuoka workshop changed a few times over the years, and the older 70s or early 80s numbers without 'M' is at much higher quality than those models with 'M'.
This is a player’s-grade instrument and is priced accordingly. The finish on the back and sides has gone milky in places and the soundboard has 3 minor cracks behind the bridge that have been cleated.
